Krafty Tips & Tutes~ Gift Card Holders with POP!

Hey Krafty Peeps!  It's Krafty Girl Kelli here with this weeks Tips and Tutes!  I decided with all the graduations going on it was the perfect time to revisit an old friend.  Gift Card Holders.  This one is a pop up Gift Card.  I used on my sample some Doodlebug papers, Score Tape and of course an UBER awesome stamp set from Becky called Words of Inspiration.

OK let's get to it shall we?  **warning, I don't know measurements so I use "smidge after the ___ **

I started off with a base measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2.  Score that baby at 4 1/4.

Next you will be cutting the insdie card holder.  It is 5 1/2 x 4, cut 2;  You will score both pieces at 1", 2" and 3".

Now cut paper (2 pieces) for the inside covers of your card.  These are normal matting sizes.

Place score tape (has to be strong, mono doesn't work, there is tension placed on these with opening).  You will place it on both edges (long side) at the edge and at the crease.

**forgot this pic** You will add the pop up piece with designed papers facing each other at the crease, it will fold towards the other edge...

Like this! :)
Next run some adhesive onto the gift card holder, punch a half circle at the top of the envelope to get a handle on the GC.  Adhere it to the first piece of the pop up.
Next you will add the 2nd of the pop ups.  You will make designed papers face each other again.  Adhere at the crease of the card, against the Gift card.
Remove adhesive strips at the bottom and place at the crease again.
Fold the card flap over and match up ends of card.
Check it out! :)
Next I made a simple 1" belly band, marked the over lap with a pencil and added adhesive up to the line.  No worries as this will be covered....

Decorate the outside of the card, slip the belly band on it and BAM!

How about them apples?  Easy Peasy!  I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and would love to see your makes.  Come share them at the Kraftin Kimmie Facebook group!
