Lisa here today, and I will show you a way to lighten up your craft!
At least over here the evenings getting darker and it's cozy to get some lights around.
Today we are going to make your cards shine.
Not that complicated as it sound, and you don't need much extra stuff for it.
Battery (3V)
Leds
Copper tape
I filmed when I made my card so you get it all - all the misstakes and everything.
OK, I'll admit, all the junk is cut away to shorten the video, but you'll notice tracks of it on my card before I put everything together.
Important stuff:
--> The battery can only make power to a number of leds, you'll notice in my video. Looks like 5 is the limit here. Oh yes, you can calculate on that, but if you are like me - you try and see what's happening.
--> Connect all the PLUS via one copper tape and all the MINUS via another copper tape.
--> PLUS and MINUS shall NOT be crossed and connect with each other.
--> Save Copper tape by cutting it in half lengthways.
--> When sending your card you can put a piece of paper between the battery and the coppertape to be pulled out by the reciever. That's why it's great to put the battery at one side of the card.
--> Don't trash the card without taking the battery off for recycling!
--> DO NOT GIVE TO CHILDREN who put stuff in their mouth! Batteries are dangerous to swallow!!
--> You can hide these leds behind your paper if you want too, just poke holes to let it shine through.
This is the kind of leds I've used, and I think you can find them easy.
I bought mine on ebay as decorations at first.
("LED 5mm 2 Pin Round White")
You can also use the totally flat sticker-leds (Chibi lights) but the aren't as bright as these leds, and
those you need to hide behind your paper or something. You connect them in the same way with coppertape etc like I've done in the video.
Looking forward to see lots of shining cards during the autumn!
To start VERY easy peasy, I made you a quick video on how to create a Polaroid frame for your cards without any stencils or specific dies :
And next we have a full tutorial on how to create this card, using the A Bit Smart Assy set from our latest release and some gorgeous Kaisercraft papers!

Hey everyone, Stephanie's here to show you a rather simple way to alter an agenda with few embellishments but a big wow effect! I used the Leilani stamp with gorgeous DP to put a smile on my mom's face everytime she looks up her agenda :)
Easy, right? It's basically taking out the regular cover, covering it with cardstock, punching holes for the binding ( you can use a Cinch tool or a good old Crop-a-dile!) and then decorating it!

I am so excited to share a new tutorial for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps with you today! You know that I LOVE interactive cards, so it probably won't come as a surprise to hear that I have been having so much fun playing with pop-up box cards lately. I made one not too long ago for my youngest daughter's third birthday, so I thought it would be great to create a tutorial for you, creating a pop up box card that folds into a standard A2 size (my favourite size for cards).
Okay, now there are all sorts of stamps and embellishments that work well with this style of card, but I am going to argue that this new set from Kraftin' Kimmie stamps called Monster Hugs is just about as perfect as it gets!
Here's what you'll need:
Coloured and fussy cut stamped images. I used three from Monster Hugs.
Piece of 9 1/4" x 5 1/2" cardstock
Piece of 3 3/4" x 2" cardstock
2 pieces of 5 1/4" x inch pattered paper (I created one in white so I could write a message)
6 pieces of 2 3/8" x 2" patterned paper (I used 2 different patterns - 3 pieces each)
3 pieces of 2 3/4" x 2" patterned paper.
Adhesive
Thin strips (approx. 1/4") of clear acetate or coordinating cardstock
Now I know that sounds like a complicated list to start with, but it really is quite an easy technique. Here's a little video to show you how to pull it all together!
So there you have it! I hope you'll give this technique a try - you won't be sorry!
