September KLEAR Krafty Release Day and HOP!

It's CLEARLY a special day!!  We're so excited because it's FINALLY our SEPTEMBER RELEASE DAY at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS!!  We're releasing all the new CLEAR stamp sets we've been previewing all week and  we’re celebrating with a KRAFTY HOP!!  So grab yourself a cuppa joe, sit back and be prepared for some krafty eye kandy!  We're going to inspire your creations with our fun, new rubber stamp sets AND our Limited Edition HOLIDAY Kard Kit!!!

Over the last few days we have shared lots of wonderful creations in our Krafty Peeks featuring all the new stamp sets from each of our artists for the CLEARLY HOLIDAY September Release!  We know these stamps will inspire you to make your own festive designs!   First off we shared a gorgeous sets of holiday sentiments from artist, Becky Pearce called THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS!  Then we showed a sweet set of carolers by artist, Cheryl Grant called ANGEL VOICES!  Next came those magical helpers from artist, Emilie Goulet called MADE BY ELVES!  And lastly we showed you THREE new sets from artist Annie Rodrigue called HOLLY JOLLY, FROSTY FRIENDS and HOLIDAY STYLE!

Hey everyone!!  Welcome back to day TWO of our SEPTEMBER Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks!!!  All of our brand new CLEAR stamp sets will be released on Saturday night!!  Are you excited?

NEW KKS CLEAR STAMPS!!! September Release Krafty Peeks.....Day 1!! The Magic of Christmas!

It's here!  It's HERE!  It's Day ONE of our Sepember Krafty Peeks for the NEW Release at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!  And today we are introducing you to our NEW CLEAR STAMPS!!

Our 'little company that could' has been chugging along for almost 6 years now and recently we decided that it was time for a change!  Not only do we have gorgeous new professional packaging for the new stamps but.....all the NEW stamps will be CLEAR!!!

Not to worry, you'll still be able to get all of our hundreds of previously released stamps as rubber but going forward, the new goodies will be made of the highest quality of photopolymer!  We've been keeping this news a secret for months but we've been playing with the new stamps, testing them out and having a blast!!

We couldn't be happier with the quality and beautiful stamped images we've gotten and we know you'll love them too!

Today we are kicking off the new release, which just happens to be our HOLIDAY release, with a GORGEOUS new set of sentiments by artist, Becky Pearce!  
It's called THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS and not only 
are the words so beautiful but the combination of different fonts is sure to make your holiday cards stand out!

The set features EIGHT amazing sentiments that can be used as the focal point of your creations or they can be an addition to another image and also for the insides of your holiday cards!

Krafty Tips & Tutes: Watercolor/Salt Technique

Hey All!!!

Krafty Girl Alexis here with a really neat way to make a background for your stamps or sentiments.

All you will need are the following:

- salt (kosher/sea salts and/or table salt)
- Watercolor paints (PS - I tried Artist Loft, however this one didn't work)
- Watercolor paper (I prefer the cold press)
- paint brush (I like the bigger one for this technique)
- water
- papertowels or a waterproof mat

OK are ya ready for this one?!?!?!?!?!

1. lay out your paper on your mat or papertowels. You are now going to wet it with a pretty good amount of water!!! I then put my lightest color on.

2.  The put your main color on. I used a dark blue to simulate a night sky. The great thing about this technique is you can choose whatever color you need! You can do a dual color, sunset colors...the possibilities are endless!!!

3. next you get to sprinkle your salt!!! Please note that with smaller crystals your effect may look different as on mine I used kosher salt.

4. Now is the hardest part....the waiting!! LOL I usually wait until my watercolor paper is dry to the touch before I move it. I usually leave it about 45 mins or more depending on how much water was used. The salt will absorb some of the color giving it this pretty cool effect!

Then you can gently remove the salt using your hand into the garbage and Voila!!!! A neat background for a card or a scene!!
