Wonderful Wednesday

It's Wonderful Wednesday time!!  We hope you can play along!!  As always....it's ANYTHING GOES!!  Break out your Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and get krafty!!

We want EVERYONE to be able to play along so your submission can use ANY stamp and can be any theme, any style, any design and it can be a card, a scrapbook page, an altered item....you name it!!  It must be a NEW creation and you can enter on this post until November 24th at midnight!  At the end of the month one random winner will be chosen from all the submissions for the whole month and will receive a $20 Gift Card to the shop!!!  What do you think.....wanna WIN??  Let's see your krafty stuff!!

In addition to the great Krafty Challenges & Wonderful Wednesday, each month we will post a Sketch.  The sketch will last all month long and if you use it in ANY of our Challenges or WW's during that month you will get an additional chance to win a store gift card!  You do NOT have to use the sketch, it's just a little extra boost for your mojo if ya need it!  Here is November's sketch...

Krafty Girl Alexis here, for all my Krafty friends out there far and wide... this one ladies... is for you! You ladies are an amazing source of encouragement, support and love!

I used the stamp set OH Crop! on my card. I stamped the icon images in staz on and then watercolored the background in a super vibrant pink :) I then embellished with some of our awesome sequins and half a doodlebug doily :)

   

Our WINTER Krafty Skrappy challenge!

Hey yall!!  Tangii here, welcome back for another month of Krafty Scrappin!!!  For this challenge you can create ANYthing your little heart desires as long as it's NOT a card!!!  Calendars, bookmarks, pocket pages, traditional scrap pages, holiday gifties...  Come play along with us each month and let's get some of those photo's out of boxes and on to something creative and fun!!  You will have a whole month to play along and you can play as many times as you like!   Here are a few things to remember...

THIS MONTH'S THEME: WINTER!!!

1.  Create ANY scrap page, Project Life Layout or pocket page cards, altered item, etc.  JUST NOT A CARD!
2.  MUST use Kraftin Kimmie stamps to be entered in to the drawing.
3.  You have a month to play, enter AS MANY TIMES as you'd like!
4.  PRIZES?!?  Of course there are prizes!!  Once we've reached 5 entires, we draw a random winner (winner will be drawn at the close of the challenge)!!
5.  You have until Monday, December 14th @ 9:00 pm Eastern. to get your entires in.
6.  Be sure to also share your creations on our Krafty Friends FB page so we can all drool and OH and AH!  

This is a perfect opportunity to make some Home Decor or Winter Gifties too!!  Here are a few ideas from the Krafty Girls from the Krafty Files!

Krafty Tips and Tuts - Spinner card

Hello krafty friends! Danielle here with your 

Krafty Tips and Tuts for this week.  

I thought it would be fun to show you how to create a

spinner card using one of the fun stamps from 

Ice, Ice Baby.  Are you ready?  Good! Let's go!

First you want to start with a cardstock panel sized 

3 7/8" x 5 1/8" to create the slider/spinner opening.

I used a word window punch to create the slider opening.

You could also use a die cut if you have one that 

would create such an opening. 

Start on the far right side and make your first punch

then move the punch to the left and make a second and 

third punch along the panel (it works best to make sure

that your cardstock is all the way in the punch as you move.

You'll end up with something that looks like this

After I did this I used an embossing folder and ran it

through my Big Shot to get a the snowflake texture on it. 

Repeat that same process on a second piece of cardstock

sized 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" and glue it to the first panel you've

created (make sure to use a good strong adhesive so your 

layers don't separate around the slider opening.

(Here I hadn't yet cut down the top of the colored panel 

to the size I mentioned above).   Hint: it is a good idea

to stamp a sentiment (if you want one) on the first layer

either before you emboss or glue the two pieces together.

Next you will create your slider piece using a couple pennies and 

some foam dimension dots (note: round ones work best).

Place one dot on a penny and two dots and another penny

on your image that will slide/spin on your card - like this

Then put your stamped image/element on both sides

of your panel (from the front and back). 

Now you need to adhere the panel to a base.  

I used a strong adhesive foam tape so that there is

just a little gap around the slider opening and some

depth to allow for spinning as you move the card. 

(note: I put one more piece of the foam tape on my panel halfway 

between the top and the penny for extra stability).  Add to the

 card base and now you have a spinner card. 

As you move/tip the card from side to side the image

should spin across the opening - kinda like this:

(note: I tipped it and then straightened out again for the photo)

The first couple of times you move this it might spin

a bit slower - but the more you do it the faster it will start to spin.

November Krafty Peeks....Day SIX! Let's Celebrate!....with a Challenge!

We are back with Day SIX of the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps  NOVEMBER KRAFTY PREVIEWS!!! 

It's our last day of peeks before the release....TONIGHT!!

Today we are sharing a gorgeous set of stamps by artist Annie Rodrigue!!  This fancy couple is all set for a night on the town!!!  They've got something big to celebrate!  The set is called 
LET'S CELEBRATE!!  and it includes TWO main images plus SEVEN perfectly coordinating sentiments!! They are FABULOUS!!!

November Krafty Peeks....Day FIVE!!! Oh CROP!

We're back with Day FIVE of our November Krafty Peeks for the NEW Release at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!
