August Release Day and Krafty HOP!

It's finally here!!!  
The RELEASE of our AUGUST 2016 clear stamp sets!!!  

We've released ALL SIX of the EEK-TASTIC new clear stamp sets that we've been previewing all week and we're celebrating with a super fun krafty HOP!  So grab a nice hot beverage and put your feet up because you will need a few relaxing minutes to enjoy all the magical fun by our design team and guest!!

August Krafty Peeks....Day FOUR! PLUS a Challenge! Happy Owl-oween and Harvest Blessings!

Welcome back to our FOURTH and final day of August Krafty Peeks!  It's almost time to release ALL the new SPOOK-tacular stamp sets that you've been seeing all week!

We have TWO adorable new sets to share with you today from artist, Becky Pearce!  These sets can be used on their own or in combination with each other or even other Halloweenie type sets!!

First is this sweet set of feathered friends called
HAPPY OWL-OWEEN!

The set features three main images, several smaller accessory stamps and five SP-WHOO-KY sentiments for a total of THIRTEEN fabulous stamps in the set!

Next up is a fun set of GOURD-GEOUS images and friends called HARVEST BLESSINGS!

The set features three main pumpkin images, faces that you can stamp on the pumpkins if you choose, several smaller accessory stamps and four sentiments for a total of THIRTEEN

Hello again and welcome back to Day THREE of our
August Krafty Peeks!!
Have you been enjoying the new creations so far?  Well, we're only half way done!  We have so many more fun fall designs!

Today's peeks features a sweet new fall set by artist, Cheryl Grant!  Of course we've got our three fave kiddos, Lexi, Lucas and Lulu and they're having lots of fun at the fall fair!  There's apples, cotton candy and furry friends!

August Krafty Peeks....Day ONE!!! Valentina Vampire and Vanessa Vampire!!

Krafty Tips & Tuts - Being Frugal With Cardstock!

Hi everyone!!  It's Krafty Girl Marilyn here and I've got a few tips on how to be frugal with your cardstock.  Like everyone I'm sure you all have tons of cardstock in so many colors!  I try to use up an entire sheet when I make a card.  I hate to cut into another sheet of paper when I need just a little bit more...for example if you want to add a die. 
So let's get started!  I've made a card using just one 8.5 x 11 inch blue cardstock and one 8.5 x 11 inch pink card stock.  That includes all the layers, dies and the inside of the card.  My card features one of the stamps from the "You're Sun-Sational" stamp set.

First off, here is a picture of the supplies used, minus the flowers.

So, the first thing I did was cut the card base down so that I would end up with a 5 1/2 by 5 1/2 inch card.  This is my usual size card.  The pink and the blue and the designer paper are all 1/8 of an inch smaller then the previous layer. 

Next I took the large die from Spellbinders called Triple Tear and taped it down to the middle of the pink cardstock. 

Then ran it through the Cuttlebug.  Once this is done, I taped the blue cardstock to the pink cardstock and this  covers the hole made by the die.  Then I added the designer paper which is from the Lawn Fawn - Perfectly Plaid paper pad.

Here is a view of the backside!  It is completely hidden!  Fantastic right???

So after that, I started putting my card together.  I added more layers (including the pink and blue cardstock) then ribbon and then the flowers.  Now it was time to work on the inside.  As you can see from the picture below I have two different sizes of cardstock left!  Neither size large enough to create a layer for the inside.

I need the layers, but I didn't want to cut another 8.5 x 11 inch paper.  No problem, as long as they are big enough I just tape them together.  They don't look pretty, but by the time I am finished no one will be the wiser!

Here they are cut to fit and showing the good side with the tape in the back.

They are layered together with a piece of white cardstock on top, and you can't see where they are butted up together and taped.  It looks perfect!!

It takes no time to use up your scraps like I just did when you are creating a card.  All you have to remember is to make sure you have a layer for on top so that the cut from the die or the butting of sides together doesn't show!  I hope I have inspired you to be frugal with your cardstock and that you will give this a try!  Any feed back about this tip is always welcomed!

Hello everyone! Krafty Girl Delphine here today to share a very krafty card ;) I chose to use two adorable characters from the Snail Mail Set and one of the sentiments included in the set - "Krafty mail"! Starting there, I had to use some kraft, and created an embossed background to coordinate with my characters and sentiment :)
