Inspirational Wednesday - Made With Love!

This week Krafty Girl, Alexis is sharing a fabulous creation featuring the super fun clear stamp set,
MADE WITH LOVE!

Most of you who know me know that the kitchen is my 2nd happy place after my krafty area that is.

I feel in love with this set even before I had seen it. Kim had mentioned she was going to have Cheryl do up a baking kids set. Once I heard that I was totally sold!

The first card is a new one I made up for this inspiration post. I used copics on my image, but in my opinion the best part is the icing on the cupcakes! I used liquid applique with some glitter and then heated it to make it look like realistic icing! Super fun!

The second image is one you have probably seen before as we coloured the boy in a colour along awhile back. I think this is a great way to showcase the set as I do generally include tags on any baked goods I send to family/friends.

I kept this so simple, a little copic colouring and a splashy watercolour background and this card was done. The sheep is jumping over top of the fun sentiment!

Krafty Tips and Tutorial - Lollipop Holders!

Hi there! It's Krafty Girl Marilyn and today I've got a quick and easy tutorial for you! I'm going to show you how to make these adorable Lollipop Holders without having to buy or use a die!! I'm featuring the stamp set Dino-Mite Pals. So let's get started!

You'll need a piece of cardstock or designer paper cut to 6 inches by 2 inches. Your embellishments of choice, ribbon, a hole punch and of course a lollipop!!

Next, score along the long side at 1 3/4 inches, 2 3/4 inches and 5 inches. Fold at the scores lines. It should look like the picture below.

With your hole punch and at the 5 inch score line make a pencil mark in the middle (1 inch). Keep paper folded and make a hole. Then make a mark about 1/4 inch from score line on either side of previous hole and about 1/2 inch apart. It should look like this.

Notice the larger hole is centered on the score line. This is where the lollipop stick will go through. The smaller holes are for the ribbon. Once folded and the ribbon added, it will help keep the lollipop in place.

That's all you have to do for the lollipop holder. Now it's time to decorate and have fun with it!

Make sure your lollipop is inside before you decorate! Here's a finished one and a side view of the holder and lollipop.

Super simple to do, and only takes about five minutes from start to finish! I hope you give these a try and if you do, don't forget to share on the Krafty Friends Facebook page! These would also be great using the Darling Dragons stamps and Unicorn and Rainbows stamps.

Hi everyone! Krafty Girl Delphine here today to share my card for Inspirational Wednesday! I used one of the fabulous girls from the Sandy Toes stamp set which I love! I created a one layer card, but decided to do something a bit different, with a doodled background. I coloured everything in Copics and added my details using Copic multiliners, Staedler Triplus and gel pens.

Challenge #424 - Glitter!

Welcome to another fabulous Krafty Challenge!

Are you ready for some krafty fun??
We've got a super easy theme for you this week and we hope you can play along!

This week's challenge is all about GLITTER!!!

Welcome to the weekend everyone and another challenge with Kraftin Kimmie Stamps! Mindy here and I'm hosting the challenge today Now.... I don't really like to play with "real" glitter because I tend to make a mess so let me explain what I did lol.

I'm starting off my card by stamping my image from the Fairy Loved stamp set onto Neenah white cardstock with copic friendly ink. Then I colored with my copic markers and fussy cut my image out.

For my background, I used a piece of Canson watercolor paper and started randomly applying some teals and purples to my background using the wet on wet technique. What that means is I wet my paper then got my brush wet , dipped it in the paint and applied it to the wet paper. This allows the watercolor to move around a little more. I'm no pro at watercolor but I love the effects it gives.

Once I was satisfied with my background, I took it down to the basement and heavily sprayed it with Glitter spray. You need a well ventilated room for this because this stuff really stinks. It's really hard to capture in the picture but it just sparkles in real life! I also die cut some clouds from some gold glitter paper and added to my sky. I'm using an A2 size cardbase to add my watercolor panel to.

Finally I added my image to the background with some foam squares to separate it a little from the sky.
