Welcome to another fun Krafty Challenge!

This week the theme is: 
FANTASY/MAGIC!

Krafty Girl Sabrina here to share this adorable card with you using the Fairy Loved stamp set!

This card is so me! Fairies are one of my favourite magical creatures and I also love kitties!

I used the July Sketch (see below) for my inspiration and layered up the design with various doodlebug papers!

I colored her up using the no lines technigue with copics!

Skin: E04, 11, 21, 00, 000

Kitty: E08, YR07, 04, 02, Y17
Hair: YR27, Y38, 35, 21
Teal: BG09, 07, 05, 02
Wings: RV63, 00, 000 + YG03, 00, 0000

Inspirational Wednesday - Beauty!

Welcome to an Inspirational Wednesday post!

Each week one of our amazing design team members will be here to inspire you to get creative with your krafty stamps!

This week Krafty Girl, Jessie is showing her creations with the gorgeous BEAUTY clear stamp set!

I kept this card super clean and simple, colouring her up with my copic markers and adding the sentiment from the set to the top of the card front. 

Copics used:
Green - YG97,  YG95, YG93
Skin - E04, E13, E11, E21, E00, E000
Grey - C7, C5, C3, C1, C0, 0

KRAFTY TIPS AND TUTORIALS! - Retiform Technique!

Hello, it's Krafty Girl Marilyn here, and today I'm going to show you how to make a "Retiform" card.  It's super easy and it's a perfect time to use some of those gorgeous inks Kimmie offers in her shop!  I have to say this will be a long and picture heavy post, but well worth it!!

Retiform is just geometrical shapes that intersect one another.  It can be done with any kind of inks and stamps.  Here's the one I will be showing you today!

You can make the shapes any size and any type.  I used the ink Marvellous Mocha to create the shapes/forms.

Now here comes the pictures....lol.

The supplies needed for this card were the inks, paper, post-it notes and stamps.  I've used Beautiful Blooms and Butterfly Dreams.  Now lets get started.

You'll need a piece of scrap paper to create the lines when you are applying the ink.

The first one is made, and then you just continue in this fashion till you have made all the shapes you want in various sizes.

Second one made!  The next picture shows all the shapes I have created.  I chose to do part of the page, but you could fill the whole page with shapes.

Now comes the fun part and will take a bit more time to do, because you have to mask off each section with post-it notes before you stamp.

I'm going to use the Yummy Yellow ink and the Beautiful Blooms stamp for the first triangle.

Here's another masked off area in which I used Mermaid Melody and another Beautiful Blooms stamp.

So, you just continue to mask off and stamp until all the shapes are filled.  There's no precision stamping, it's almost like doing decoupage!

The butterflies from the stamp Butterfly Dreams were stamped using the Purple Pansy Ink. The leaves are also from the Beautiful Blooms stamp set and they were stamped with the ink Lovely Lagoon.

I left the white space to stamp a sentiment from the Butterfly Dreams using the ink Wicked Black.  Here is another card I created using the same inks and the Butterfly Dreams only this time I did the whole card in Retiform.

As you can see I chose to stamp in black ink this time and used the Lovely Lagoon to create the shapes and then I used the Purple Pansy ink to cover any white.  I really love how they both look!

Hello all! Krafty girl Keri here and today it's my turn to show you some inspiration. I made a fun card using the Ewe's Fluffy stamp set. Doesn't she look cute!  This is an Annie Rodrigue stamp set, so that means, once she is gone, she is GONE FOR GOOD!

Krafty Tips & Tutes

Good morning everyone! 

Welcome to a Krafty Tips & Tutes post!

This week, Krafty Girl, Melany, is showing you how to use stamps as a scrapbooking layout embellishment.

She used an older rubber stamp that is not available anymore, but any cute, sassy and fun stamp could do the trick.  Maybe Darling Dragon, Mini Monsters, Smell Like Teen Spirit, Troll Trouble or anyone that would fit your layout's mood.

Hi there, it's Krafty Girl Melany and I'll show you some ways you could use your KKS stamps on scrapbooking layouts.

For this layout, I used Angry Ballerina with Wicked Black Ink

Just like we would do for a card, I color my image with coodinating colors and I fussy cut it. On this layout, I used it in an embellishment cluster; I put some thread behind to make it pop. This becomes my major cluster.

Here's my layout

In bonus, here's how I made my handstitched title:

First, I print my title on a regular paper and cut the words to play with the placement. When I'm happy with it, I glue it down with repositionnable tape on my layout

Then, I pierce my stitching holes, following the printed letters

It's time to stitch

Here's the result

You could use your stamps as a layout embellishment in many ways.

You could make your stamped image interact with your pictures like I did in this layout

Or you could use it multiple times to nest your picture in like I did in this one

Your imagination is the limit!  Can't wait to see how YOU will use your stamp in a scrapbooking layout. Come to show it on our FB group.
