Inspirational Wednesday - From the Otter Side!

Hello krafty friends!

Hello krafty friends...it's Melanie. :)
It's my turn to share a creation this week and I chose to feature our FROM THE OTTER SIDE stamp set. This set has a few adorable main images along with some fun coordinating sentiments. I stamped these two otters in our TOTALLY TAUPE ink on Arches 140 lb cold pressed watercolour paper, sketched in a background and did the entire scene in watercolour paints. I added highlights to the water with some white gouache.

June Krafty Release Day HOP!

WOOHOO!

Today we are celebrating all the

June Krafty Peeks....Day THREE! Capture the Moment PLUS a Challenge!

Welcome back to Day THREE of our

Our kids are back and they’re ready for some photo fun!
It’s called CAPTURE THE MOMENT and it’s from artist, Cheryl Grant!

June Krafty Peeks...Day TWO! You are Mer-mazing!

June Krafty Peeks...Day ONE! Hip Hippo-ray!

It’s our favourite time of the month…
it’s time to begin the

It’s Day ONE of our Krafty Peeks and we are over the moon excited to share all of our new goodies!

Krafty Tips and Tuts

Hi everyone!

Krafty Girl Melany here with you today to bring you along with me on my scrapbook layout process. So get out your scissors and your KKS stamps and let the fun begin!

First, I choose my KKS stamp and my pic. I choose the Happy Thoughts stamp set by Melissa Baker-Nguyen

Second, I pick papers and embellishments in my stash to inspire me and to get me started. I'll add or get rid of some of it. Of course, my Krafty Dots are ALWAYS in the first pick!

Then, with my stamps set, this time, I decided to make some embellishments, ephemera type

Here, we have 4 pieces to add here and there in the layout

Now, we're good to go! Let's begin the page!

I choose this background paper from Crate Paper. Now, it's time to play around with my pic and my embellishments to see the kind of layout I'm going to go with

I decided to fussy cut those flowers (Yes! I really did!). If you don't have that type of paper, you could use the Beautiful Blooms stamp set instead.

Now, my layout's base is all done. Next thing: let's embellish!

I needed a green embellishment and couldn't find one, so I made one using the plane on one of the sentiments. Can you find it on the final layout?

As final touches, I added sequins, heart wood veneer, and Krafty Dots. I like to outline them. I find it make them pop.

And finally, to frame the layout, I cut a small chunk up and down, glued a green paper and stitched with black thread

There we go! Here's the final layout

Inky Weekend

Hi everyone!

Here's Krafty Girl Melany. I hope everyone is having a blast playing with all those yummy inks colors! The Krafty Kolours are so much fun and easy to use on every kind of projects! What is your favourite Krafty Kolour? Me, I can't just make up my mind!

But, you know what? I have combo that I looooooove to play with and this is what I would call my "Tutti Frutti Inky Yummy Mix"! I used that combo to color my white cardstock title piece on this layout. It was the perfect match with the fruits in the Berry Sweet stamp set and the theme of my layout.

The Krafty Kolours I used were Rasberry Rose, Charming Chartreuse , Pumpkin Patch and Yummy Yellow. (they look a bit more neon on the pic then they are in real life). I also used the Lots'O Dots stencil. To make the colors pop even more, I outlines all the dots with a black pen.

So, here's the final product

I challenge you to make your own yummy inky mix or to try this one. I can't wait to see your creations.

To make this background, I used the Hearts and Stars stamp set. This is one of my most used stamp set. It's so versatile. On a boy layout, I always love some stars. To stamp my stars, I used Wicked Black Krafty Kolour

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like! These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however using a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp will earn you double entries! Each submission will enter you into the monthly draw of a $40 gift voucher to the krafty shop!
