Welcome back to the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge Blog! We are excited to get our first challenge of the year underway! We have lots of great stuff planned for 2010, including some fun surprises!!!
First off, some important news!! A little change in the way the challenges work.....anyone and everyone is welcome and encouraged to join in our weekly challenges! We all need an excuse to stamp, right?? But in order to be eligible to win the blog candy, your creation must include a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps image.
Secondly, the random winner of our last challenge from 2009 is....Mindyann!!! Congratulations and be sure to email me with your mailing information!!
Next up, this week's challenge! The totally crafty and sweet Michele is our hostess with the mostess! She chose one of my favourite techniques.....she wants us to Paper-piece....a little or a lot!! So pull out your patterned paper and play paper dolls!! Haha! And if you join in the fun, you could win the wacky Drucilla stamp, as featured on Michele's gorgeous card! And don't forget, if you upload your creation to an online gallery like Splitcoast, use the keywords KKSC11, so we can all check 'em out.
EDITED TO ADD: For those that don't know, paper piecing is when you stamp your image on white and colour it in, but also stamp your image on patterned paper and say, cut out the dress and paste it on your image! So for example, on Michele's Drucilla card, she paper pieced her dress from a piece of orange and white patterned paper. It's kind of like paper dolls!!! Get it??
OH and did you know, did I mention.....Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps has their OWN gallery on Splitcoast?? Yeppers!!! On the company galleries page, under K, you can now see Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!! Woohoo! So always use 'KraftinKimmie', all one word, and your creations will be seen in our company gallery on SCS!! How super cool is that???
ALSO, if you stopped here today, you may happen upon a few designs made with images you don't recognize! That's because you are getting an early peek at some of our January Release Images!!! These stamps will be available starting January 10th! There are four new images from each of our three amazing artists, plus two new sets of coordinating sentiments!! So hang on to your inkpads, ladies....and feast your eyes on these:
