Krafty Tips and Tutes: Week #8 - Out of the Box Technique and Fussy Cutting!

Welcome to another week of Krafty Tips and Tutes here at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!  Each week one of our fabulous Krafty Girls will be sharing a little post with some sort of tip or tutorial for you and we hope you find them inspirational!  This week our hostess is STEPHANIE!!!  And she's prepared a fabulous step by step tutorial with pics showing how to do the OUT OF THE BOX TECHNIQUE along with some Fussy Cutting!  And she's used the fun new HEY, HOT STUFF! stamp set!  Check it out....then give this technique a try and SHARE them on our Facebook wall!!! Here we go!!

Here’s what you need to do some fussy cutting:

Precision tip scissors, black marker, pencil, shaped template (I use dies), and a stamped image.

First, place your chosen shape over the image and decide what part you want to cut. TIP: Tiny curls, eyelashes and skinny details are better not to be cut ;-)

Trace your shape or the interior of the die with your pencil.

Cut along your pencil line, carefully going in the tiny areas that are outside your shape. If your scissors can’t make it, try using a cutting knife (like an X-Acto).

All you now have to do is to put the black marker’s tip along the edges of your shape to add a nice finishing touch!

Final lookNow, get your krafty mojo on and make a card! Hope that was useful!
