day 12 handmade gifts: Chocolate bags

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to the last day of The 12 Days of Krafty Handmade Giving! Each day from Decmeber 1-12th we shared lots of handmade goodies here on the blog featuring Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! We know that you're always looking for fun things to create besides cards but especially at this time of year! So we've got lots of amazing and creative things to share from tags, to notepads, to holiday decor so thanks to pop by every day!!

I made some yummy treats!

I made 5 bags with some chocolates in it, it's a little Christmas gift for the nurses for my mom who have to come every day.
I've used my favourite Christmas sentiments stampset by Becky "Christmas Cheer".

I've used a very simple die to make this, it's so easy with something like that. I used some designpaper for it and just needed to add a sentiment and a bow.

It's really quick and easy to make, you can fill your bag with anything you want!

Thank you for your visit and have fun hopping around with our Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks!

12 Days of Krafty Handmade Giving - Day 11

Hello everyone! Krafty Girl Delphine with you here today! Welcome to Day 11 of The 12 Days of Krafty Handmade Giving! As you know, each day from December 1st-12th we are sharing lots of handmade goodies here on the blog featuring Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! We know that you're always looking for fun things to create besides cards but especially at this time of year! So we've got lots of amazing and creative things to share from tags, to notepads, to holiday decor!

I decided to make a few place cards for the dinner table for guests, nice on a table and which can be kept as little souvenirs. Here is what I used for mine:

Black Cardstock
Scoring Board
Gold paint marker
Letter Stickers
Some of your favourite Kraftin' Kimmie stamps
Colouring Medium

Step 1

Select some of your favourite stamps, bearing in mind that you want to use mostly the heads of the characters, which will need to fill some of the space on the side of the card. You can also choose stamps to match the personality of your guests :)
The 3 stamps I have chosen are Snow Days, Oh, Snap! and Lana.

Step 2

In your black cardstock, cut three 3.5 x 3.5" squares to make your three place cards. Please note, I first measured the heads of my characters and thought about where it would be nice to cut them/ chop off their heads before deciding on the size of my cards.

Step 3

Score your squares at 1.75" to create the base of the place cards.

Step 4

Colour your images - I used Copics for mine - cut the bottom of the images with your paper trimmer and fussy cut the rest of the images.

Step 5

With a gold paint pen, create a frame you like to add interest to your place cards.

Step 6

Stick your image to one side of the card and add names using stickers as I have done - or in your own handwriting if you feel confident enough - not my case ;)

Copics used for "Anne":
Skin: E000, 00, 11, 71, R20
Hair: BV04, C7, 9
Clothes: C5, R35, 37, 39, 81, 83, 85, W1, 3
Glasses: BG000, C7, 9, Y26

Here is the second place card I have created:

Skin: E000, 00, 11, 71, R20
Hair: E25, 31, 59
Clothes: V09, 15, 17
Camera: BG000, C7, 9, R35

And the third one - my favourite :P hehe...

Skin: E000, 00, 11, 71, R20
Hair: E51, 53, 55
Clothes: C5, R35, 37, 39, W1, 3

And the three of them together!

Don't forget to come back tomorrow for our last day of Krafty Handmade Giving! Thank you very much for your visit, have a great day! Hugs,
Delphine xx

12 Days of Handmade Gifts Day 10! Stamped Candles

Hey Krafty Peeps!  It's Krafty Girl Kelli here with todays 12 days of Handmade Gifts.  Today I'm going to share how to stamp on candles.

Supplies:  Candles (el cheapo work fine), Heat Gun, Tissue Paper, Kraftin Kimmie Icy Fairy, Memento Ink, Copic Markers

Just stamp your image onto a single ply piece of the tissue paper like you would for a card.

I always tear around my image to get the edges frayed so that when it's time to adhere to the candle there aren't any harsh lines.

Next color image, blending isn't easy due to the tissue absorbing the ink and making it easy to tear.

Place the colored image onto the candle.  I lay my candle on it's side to minimize the running of the wax.  Static cling will keep the image on the candle if you choose to keep it up right.

Heat with your heat gun moving constantly.  the tissue will absorb the melted candle wax and adhere and seal the image.

VIOLA!  Instant cutie ready for a fun little gift bag and some glitter.

Here's a little bit of house cleaning in case you didn't know it... you can use this same principle to clean up spilled candle wax.  Heat your iron up and using a paper towel, place the paper towel over the spilled wax and iron the paper towel.  The paper towel will absorb the wax, move the paper towel so that you have a clean spot each time ironing and another VIOLA!  lol  Wax gone.  This works on walls, carpets, counters and speaker fronts... don't ask me how I know! ;)

12 days of Krafty Handmade Giving - Day 8

Hi all!
Today it's Krafty girl Lisa here - the 8th day of The 12 Days of Krafty Handmade Giving.
Each day from Decemeber 1st through the 12th we will be sharing lots of handmade goodies here on the blog featuring Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! We have so much fun to share with you and hope you'll get lots of Krafty ideas of what to give this year.

I've made a box that holds a small box of matches and two candles.
A perfect warming gift to give anyone.
I made it fit my items so you might have to adjust your box if you got other things to put inside.

It can be made from one 12" x 12" cardstock + decoration papers!

Cut two pieces of cardstock. One for the Box, and one for the Lid.
Score 1" from sides on both. Then cut from shortest side to the first scoring line - see my black dots on the picture.

BEFORE gluing your box together you can decorate it with the patterned paper - it's much easier. Only save the "top" decorations etc to do when you have glued it all together.

NOTE: if you want a window in your lid, do it now (before gluing your box together). :) Use any shape of die to cut in the lid, as big or as small as you like. Glue a piece of acetate on the inside (or just any plastic).

Fold your box together and glue the shortest sides.
Now you can start decorate on top!

The lid is decorated with one of the children from the set Angel Voices.
Sentense is from a set called Happy Winter Days
I just inked it up partly and stamped it in a row instead.

I've decorated the match box in the same paper as the bigger box, and just added a few decorations.

If you not want to give candles, just put some candy in the box instead.
Larger box? Add an inch for the box on every side. Score 2" from sides and your box will be higher. Lid can still be the same.

Extra note:
Panel long side lid: 7/8″ x 3,7/8″ (brown)
Panel short side lid: 7/8″ x 3,1/8″ (brown)
Panel long side box: 7/8″ x 3,3/4″ (brown)
Panel short side box: 7/8″ x 3″ (brown)
Patterned paper slightly smaller.
Panel on top of lid: 3,7/8 x 3,1/8″ (brown)

Don't forget to pop back in tomorrow because we have lots of fabulous ideas to share with you!
Have a wonderful day!

Happy Kraftin!

12 Days of Krafty Handmade Giving - Day 7

Hello krafty friends! Danielle here for Day 7
of our fantastic 12 Days of Krafty Handmade Giving.
I'm sure you've been enjoying the amazing projects that
have been shown to you already by the talented Krafty Girls.
Are you inspired yet to make your own handmade gift?
I just wish there were more days left before Christmas so
that I can try the projects my lovely teammates have made!

My handmade gift to share with you today is a gift box that
has a little jar of sugar scrub (home made by my friend Amy).
This is the most amazing stuff ever! She gifted me a jar of it
and I loved it so much I wanted to give some to my friends too!

So...I started with a plain kraft box (from Stampin' Up!) that
I stamped and embossed sayings from "Christmas Cheer Sentiments"
and  "The Magic of Christmas" in white and silver.

and then added some stars to emboss in gold
from the "Scrapbook Essentials" set
and then I went to town adding some color to the box with
distress ink and sponges.  After inking the panels you will
want to run a tissue or piece of paper towel over the top
of the embossed parts so that they show through completely.
As a last step I stamped on the inside panel with
Bridget in the tub from the "Itty Bitty Friends" Set
and inked around her too just a bit.

Here's what the box looks like after it's closed.
I will probably add a ribbon around it (or put a bow on top)
I put a couple pieces of washi tape on the bottom of
the box to make more sturdy with the jar in there.
Fun idea don't you think?

Thanks so much for being with us today! Stay tuned for Day 8
tomorrow and some handmade krafty goodness from Lisa!!!

12 Days of Krafty Handmade Giving, Day 6

Happy Sunday Everyone!!!!

Alexis here with Day 6 of the Krafty Handmade Giving!!! Hope you have been enjoying the fantastic ideas all the girls have shown you so far! Are you excited to see what's coming??? I know I am!

Don't forget that each day from December 1-12th we will be sharing lots of handmade goodies here on the blog featuring Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! We know that you're always looking for fun things to create besides cards but especially at this time of year! So we've got lots of amazing and creative things to share from tags, to notepads, to holiday decor so be sure to pop by every day!!

Today I am sharing with you an ornament I made that is going on my tree. It is one of my favorite activities of the season! I love decorating with handmade items or things I have created. Do you?

To make my ornament I bought an ornament from michaels that came in two pieces and would fit together when assembled.

I then stamped my image in Stazon on watercolor paper. For the image I choose to use Snow Buddies. I then colored it up using my pencil watercolors. I stickled the snowballs.

I inked the backside of the paper once dried. I had some scraps I used to make the flags behind the sentiment. I adhered those over a piece of long twine to inked paper colour and using Christmas Cheer stamped and adhered my sentiment.

Lastly I filled half the ornament with different styles of glitter. I laid the twine over the ornament placing where i wanted the image in the center of the circle and then put the other half on. To hold the twine in place i did put a bit of E6000 jewelry glue but any glue that dries clear should work.

Below is the finished product on my tree!!!

Thanks for coming by to see my ornament!!! Come back tomorrow for another awesome idea!
