Challenges and a dash of inspiration for August 2025

   Good morning, krafty friends!

We are posting all of our August Challenges today so get ready to have some fun getting krafty this month!  August reminds me of hot days lounging by the pool, sipping on a cold icy drink, taking in festivals, and the excitement of back to school supplies! We hope during this busy month you'll find some krafty time for yourself and play along with our challenges!

The themed challenge for August is make a Children's card (think birthday, congrats, back to school, encouragment etc), the second theme is 3 or more colours! 

The Christmas challenge is Snow men/ buddies! 
As always you can participate in the Anything but a card challenge (think bookmarks, ATC, Tags, Journals, calanders etc) 

Feel free to choose one prompt or mix and match!

First up we have a this super stylish mini fold out album cover from Krafty Design Team member, Lindsy featuring What's the scoop!

I just adore how vibrant this album cover is. I feel like my preteen niece would think it's so cool! 

Heather has made the cutest baby card featuring Look out world!

As always, Krafty Girl Heather has the perfect paper to go with this stamp
set! Those clouds are so much fun! 

Alexis has a beautiful card featuring Mermaid Kisses

I love the mix of pattern papers and her multi coloured card! 

As everyone is busy with summer plans, we were not able to make as many cards for the challenges , so instead I thought we would showcase some cards featured on Kraftin Kimmie Facebook Group! 

Customer and Krafty Friend, Michelle may have read our minds for August's challenges. 

I just love the soft pastel blend with Geo 2 Stencil it reminded me that I need to bring out that stencil more, as I do love any of the geo stencils

I also love the soft simple colour palette and blending on these cards featuring

May Challenges and Inspiration!

  Good morning, krafty friends!

We are posting all of our May Challenges today so get ready to have some fun getting krafty this month!  I hope the sunshine and longer days in May help you get your Kraftin Mojo On! I know it sure has helped me!

The themed challenge for May is Florals/ Folliage, and/or the colour Orange!  Here are some samples from our talented DT members using one or both prompts! 

I openly squealed when I saw this beautiful colourful project from the lovely Danielle! I love how she used the Love Bugs stamp set, and the new Pretty Posies Layering Stencil with different coloured paste. 

I don't know if you heard the exciting news, but we have a new 

DT member Lindsy! 

Her card is rocking the Floral Fun stamp set where she added a touch of glitter. I also love how she used the Perfect Posies for a subtle touch! 

Patti has a vibrant card also using the Floral Fun. Her background is made with a gel plate print of Stained glass stencil. She also used the sketch for this month!

For our Christmas challenge we would like to see projects featuring Winter Activities and/or use this month's sketch! 

Please interpret the sketch however sparks your creativity! Patti used the sketch with stamps as above, and kept it more simple with pattern paper as below! 

She used the Orange from the May challenge, and added the most Oiler inspired Hockey player from the Have An Ice Day stamp set! 

As always we also have our Scrappy Challenge (which is anything but a card) 

Luggage tag mix media wooden tag created in this past Throwback Thursday! Using Perfect Adventures. 

Dont forget that Kimmy will be sharing the new super secret stamp set today! all will be revealed at 10 am EST in our Kraftin Kimmie Friends Facebook Group! after the reveal we will have a celebration this weekend for International Scrapbook Day with some free classes!

Challenge #565 - Snow or Snowflakes

Create a project with Snow or Snowflakes!

I used Jolly Happy Snowmen with Whimsical Wisteria and Salty Sea hybrid ink to create the snow hills.  I then added clear, purple and blue diamonds to the shaker areas.  I colored the snowmen with Copics.

Blue: BG18, BG15, BG13, BG32 and BG11

Purple: V09, V06, V04 and V01

T3 and T1 with blender for the snowmen

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

Hello everyone! Krafty Girl Melanie here for

our Create a Scene challenge. Lots of possibilities for your projects...use one of our sets that feature accessory stamps for creating a scene, combine several stamp sets or draw your own background!

I stamped out two of the main images from BE a MERMAID in our Wicked Black Hybrid Ink, sketched in a background and watercoloured the scene (I actually started this card during a recent Kolour-Along video on the Facebook group).

September Skrappy Challenge

 Good morning krafty friends!

It's SEPTEMBER and that means it's time for a brand new
SKRAPPY CHALLENGE
with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

The theme of course is ANYTHING BUT A CARD!

For this challenge you can make anything that strikes your fancy....except a card!
So design a new scrapbook page, bookmark, tag, altered item, planner page, art journal, ATC cards...whatever you like!

Here are just a few samples from the Krafty Design team to inspire you!!

Just make sure to include some Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps products and make sure it's a new creation!  As soon as we have at least five people playing along, we'll be giving away a $10 gift voucher to the krafty shop as the monthly prize!

Besides the Krafty Komeback we also have a challenge and to celebrate to Krafty Komeback we are having a easy one as it is Anything Goes!

Hello all, Krafty girl Marieke here and today it's my turn to be the hostess of this challenge. So in order to stick with our wonderful Krafty Komeback set, 

You're a Scream! i made a card using the fun spider girl!

So for my card i cut a panel out of purple cardstock and using a white ink together with the Creepy Cobweb Stencil i made the background. Added some black ink on the sides, splattered some black paint and the background is all done! Cut the letters out of black cardstock and added some detail using a white gelpen. Stamped the spider from the I want Candy stamp and made the eye's white and the rest black.

Stamped the girl with Wicked Black and colored her up using my Copic markers. Cut her out and placed her in the middle of the card. Heat embost the sentiment and then cut it. Added some Halloween Krafty Dots, Heavenly Dots to finish of the card

Hello Krafty Girl Sabrina here!! Purple is one of my favourite colours so I hope to see all your purple cards this week!

I used the Happy Hummingbirds stamp set, colored with my zig markers.

 I made my hummingbrids teal and green so they would pop on the purple background I made. And to finish my card I added some of our beautiful matching underwater dots!

Challenge #543 Use A Sketch!

....Use A Sketch! - you get to choose the sketch!

Hello friends! 

 It's Karla here today with a fun challenge for you! I love starting with a sketch - I always find it takes me in different directions than I would have gone if I just sat down with my supplies. For today's card, I'm using the August Kraftin' Kimmie Sketch you can see below and I used  fun backgrounds I created with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Stencils.  

I coloured up the adorable NEW Be A Mermaid Stamps with Copic Markers and popped them up on foam dots over the background. 

You can see the Summer Sunbeams Stencil peeking out from the first layer, which I created with Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays and then embossed one of the sweet sentiments from the Be A Mermaid. (You can check out fun Sunbeam Stencil techniques in this video HERE!) Next I layered a watercoloured background that I created in this video HERE with the Nautical Netting Stencil and Distress Oxide Sprays. For the third layer I added part of a background created with the She Sells Seashells Stencil (try saying that 5 x's fast!) and Kraftin' Kimmie Inks. And for the bottom layer I took an inky background I had in colours that matched and stamped seashells from the Be A Mermaid Stamp Set with Sandy Shores Ink. I added in some pretty NEW Summer Krafty Dots and my card is finished!
