Challenges and a dash of inspiration for August 2025

   Good morning, krafty friends!

We are posting all of our August Challenges today so get ready to have some fun getting krafty this month!  August reminds me of hot days lounging by the pool, sipping on a cold icy drink, taking in festivals, and the excitement of back to school supplies! We hope during this busy month you'll find some krafty time for yourself and play along with our challenges!

The themed challenge for August is make a Children's card (think birthday, congrats, back to school, encouragment etc), the second theme is 3 or more colours! 

The Christmas challenge is Snow men/ buddies! 
As always you can participate in the Anything but a card challenge (think bookmarks, ATC, Tags, Journals, calanders etc) 

Feel free to choose one prompt or mix and match!

First up we have a this super stylish mini fold out album cover from Krafty Design Team member, Lindsy featuring What's the scoop!

I just adore how vibrant this album cover is. I feel like my preteen niece would think it's so cool! 

Heather has made the cutest baby card featuring Look out world!

As always, Krafty Girl Heather has the perfect paper to go with this stamp
set! Those clouds are so much fun! 

Alexis has a beautiful card featuring Mermaid Kisses

I love the mix of pattern papers and her multi coloured card! 

As everyone is busy with summer plans, we were not able to make as many cards for the challenges , so instead I thought we would showcase some cards featured on Kraftin Kimmie Facebook Group! 

Customer and Krafty Friend, Michelle may have read our minds for August's challenges. 

I just love the soft pastel blend with Geo 2 Stencil it reminded me that I need to bring out that stencil more, as I do love any of the geo stencils

May Mid Month Challenge Inspiration!

  

Good morning, krafty friends!

Welcome to our Mid Month Inspiration post for our May challenges! Get ready to have some fun getting krafty this month!  If you haven't had a chance to play along yet, you still have a couple of weeks!

The themed challenge for May is The Colour Orange and/or Flowers or Foliage!

We also host a monthly Christmas card challenge (for those who like to get cards made early!) Our theme this month is Winter Activities +/- Sketch.

And as always we have the Anything but a card challenge (aka as the Scrappy Challenge) 

Our Dream Team has been busy busting out some beautiful floral and foliage cards to inspire you!

Heather has this sunny and beautiful card featuring our previous new release stencil Pretty Posies. I love her colour palette! 

 Dalis also used our new stencil from last release! I love her large sentiment and how it contrasts nicely with the soft oranges! 

  I can always tell when Sasha submits a card without even looking at the name! She is the queen of a classic monotone look.

She combined the Pretty Posies stencil with our beautiful Fairies and Furries Stamp Set

Melanie has created a lovely scene card using the Orange and Foliage prompts for our challenge! 

She used the Underwater Scenery Stencil and Shell-o Stamp Set!

You can catch the replay of last Thursday's Throwback Video to watch her create this stunning card!

Lastly, we have this fun Folio created by Lindsy using our new stencil Fancy Feathers! How much fun is this! I love the sparkly soft look with the feather stencil in the background! Great inspiration for our Scrappy Challenge!

May Challenges and Inspiration!

  Good morning, krafty friends!

We are posting all of our May Challenges today so get ready to have some fun getting krafty this month!  I hope the sunshine and longer days in May help you get your Kraftin Mojo On! I know it sure has helped me!

The themed challenge for May is Florals/ Folliage, and/or the colour Orange!  Here are some samples from our talented DT members using one or both prompts! 

I openly squealed when I saw this beautiful colourful project from the lovely Danielle! I love how she used the Love Bugs stamp set, and the new Pretty Posies Layering Stencil with different coloured paste. 

I don't know if you heard the exciting news, but we have a new 

DT member Lindsy! 

Her card is rocking the Floral Fun stamp set where she added a touch of glitter. I also love how she used the Perfect Posies for a subtle touch! 

Patti has a vibrant card also using the Floral Fun. Her background is made with a gel plate print of Stained glass stencil. She also used the sketch for this month!

For our Christmas challenge we would like to see projects featuring Winter Activities and/or use this month's sketch! 

Please interpret the sketch however sparks your creativity! Patti used the sketch with stamps as above, and kept it more simple with pattern paper as below! 

She used the Orange from the May challenge, and added the most Oiler inspired Hockey player from the Have An Ice Day stamp set! 

As always we also have our Scrappy Challenge (which is anything but a card) 

Luggage tag mix media wooden tag created in this past Throwback Thursday! Using Perfect Adventures. 

Dont forget that Kimmy will be sharing the new super secret stamp set today! all will be revealed at 10 am EST in our Kraftin Kimmie Friends Facebook Group! after the reveal we will have a celebration this weekend for International Scrapbook Day with some free classes!

April Mid Month Challenge Inspiration!

Welcome to our Mid Month Inspiration post for our April challenges! 

Get ready to have some fun getting krafty this month!  If you haven't had a chance to play along yet, you still have a couple of weeks!

The themed challenge for April is Birthday and/or Vintage!

We also host a monthly Christmas card challenge (for those who like to get cards made early!) Our theme this month is Winter Birds +/- Sketch.

Dalis (AKA Stamprgrl) got her groovy vintage vibes with this adorable card perfect for Easter! I love the added burlap and strings for an eclectic look!

Melanie mixed and matched the month long challenge with the Christmas Challenge this month. I love the Ethereal feel of her watercolouring! 

Sasha grunged up her background to add more vintage feel for this wonderful birthday card! I love her monochromatic cards! 

Alexis got her wonderfully perfect paper layers on! I love the little added birthday hat!

Inspiration Wednesday with Dalis aka Stamprgrl and Pawsome Holiday!

 

Hello Krafty Friends!

It's INSPIRATIONAL WEDNESDAY,

the day we provide you with a bit of extra krafty inspiration

to help you get creative with your krafty stamps!

Hi everyone!  It's Dalis and this week we are featuring a stamp by artist Becky Pearce, Pawsome Holiday! This adorable set has two focal images and two fillers. It also has six absolutely amazing sentiments, that are sweet and witty.

I couldn't decide which of the two focal images to use, so I used them both! As you can see, I couldn't decide if this was a holiday or a Autumn card either. It is that time of the year, were the weather is telling us something but our hearts are telling us "BRING THE TREE OUT!" 

For the first card, I watercolored the puppy with C'arandache watercolor pencils and neon liquid acrylics. The stitching on the card grounds all the layers. I love a good busy background and the mix of this bold floral with the big-scale leaves is just a perfect way to mix-n-match your patterns.

For the second card, it was all about the puppies making this adorable Christmas tree shape. I wanted to keep the entire card almost 100% monochromatic even including the puppies. I made sure that every puppy had different markings to add even more interest to an already super cute image. Some wispy fibers, bling, stitching, and banners make this festive card just perfect for all those animal lovers in your life.

Don't forget to add little highlights with a white gel pen to your images, especially on the eyes, it brings a unique touch to them.

If Pawsome Holiday is not part of your collection yet, you might want to remedy that while it's on SALE this week.

Inspirational Wednesday - My Type!

It's INSPIRATIONAL WEDNESDAY,

Hi everyone!  It's Karla and this week we are featuring My Type, which you'll find on sale at 40% off all week! 

I love vintage typewriters and type font, so I am in love with this set!! There are so many occasions to use this wonderful stamp set for, and I decided to create a card that I could easily customize inside with a sentiment as needed! I stamped and embossed the cute vintage typewriter with gold embossing powder and then coloured in the image with some watercolour brush markers. 

I used the Swirling Stars stencil with Rich Rust Ink to add another layer of interest over the pretty background paper. I fussy cut some ticket paper and layered it together to create a cluster of embellishments and then added some gold gems to match the embossing!

Inspirational Wednesday - My Happy Place!

the day of the week that we provide you with a little extra inspiration for your krafty projects!!

This week our featured stamp set is

Our hostess this week is Krafty Girl, Heather!

I was inspired to use this stamp after I realized how much I wanted (needed?) a coffee one morning.  I used Sandy Shores ink Sandy Shores Ink Pad! – Kraftin Kimmie Stamps to ink up the image of the girl with the coffee-a first for me because I usually colour my images after stamping with Wicked Black KK Ink. I coloured it with Copic markers and fussy cut her out.  The sentiment is stamped in Sandy Shores as well.  

I used a coffee cup die and cut it on the fold to make a top folding card.  For the lid part, I dug out my paper crimper (remember those), and lightly ink distressed the edges with Sandy Shores.  After assembling I added a few Krafty Dots from my stash.  

Then I decided that this card would make a great gift card holder!  So, for the inside I used Marvelous Mocha Ink Marvellous Mocha Ink Pad! – Kraftin Kimmie Stamps.  I added some ink to my glass mat, spritzed on some water and used a drinking glass that I had to mix up the ink and water and make some cup marks with the mixture to resemble a coffee stain.  I cut a brown piece to fit the bottom, using the die as a guide, so that a gift card would fit inside.

I hope that you like this card and even if you don't have a die you can make a great card and even gift card holder for the ones in your life who live for coffee!!

Inspirational Wednesday - Purr-Fect Halloween!

Hello Krafty Friends!

 It's Krafty girl Rosie here and this week we are featuring the fabulous Purr-Fect Halloween stamp set, which you'll find on sale at 40% off all week!

I ink blended a white card front with Incredible Indigo, Wicked Black and Pumpkin Patch Hybrid inks.

I then stamped the pumpkins and broom from the stamp set in clear embossing ink, coated with Lawn Fawn Glow-In-The-Dark Emossing powder and heat set.

The images are coloured with Copic markers, fussy cut and then adhered over a Hero Arts Nested Frames die cut from Craft Perfect Pearlescent Black card stock.

The sentiment and steam over the cauldron are stamped with Hero Arts Unicorn ink.

I also used this set for my Krafty Kolour Along earlier in the month using the mirror stamping technique.

Hi everyone, It's Krafty girl Heather here and this week we are featuring the fabulous Valiant Vikings stamp set, which you'll find on sale at 40% off all week!

I used the girl image from this adorable set and coloured her with Copics using the E70's for the browns and R80's for the pinks to match the paper I chose.  The paper only needed some gold splatter added. I coloured up some chipboard from the shop with the same Copics and then glittered it up with gold glimmer .  The chipboard is such an awesome addition to the stamp set.
