Inspirational Wednesday - Spooky Suckers & Haunted House!

Hi everyone!

Krafty Girl Karla here, as your hostess this week. I'm using two spooky stamp sets today - Spooky Suckers and Haunted House, to make an awesome Halloween card! This cute Dracula looks fabulous in his sporty outfit coloured up with Copic markers, and I absolutely love the sentiment heat embossed with white embossing powder! 

Of course, he needed a spectacular haunted mansion! I love the scene that is included with the Haunted House - the cool trees, moon and little fence! The Cobweb Stencil, sponged with Stormy Sky and Bubbly Blue Inks created another cool element in the background. I then added some diecut paper stars and the wonderful Halloween Dots for a pop of colour. 

Inside, I added one of the fun sentiments from the Spooky Suckers set, stamping on vellum and adding some Copic marker 'blood' drips to the back of the images. I stamped in Happy Halloween using the Scaredy Cat Stamp Set and I used Wicked Black Ink and the Bats & Moons stencil to add flappy bats to both the front and inside!

Inspirational Wednesday - Grateful Pumpkins

Hi everyone!

Krafty Girl Karla here, as your hostess this week. I'm using the fabulous Grateful Pumpkins! Stamp Set, which is just perfect for this time of year!! I have to say I've been enjoying summer, but the weather has turned a bit cooler the last couple days - and we saw leaves falling yesterday! 🍂So.... I'm embracing fall and all the pumpkiny goodness it brings. I've been totally craving a Pumpkin Spice Latte, but since they aren't out quite yet I'll settle for this adorable coffee card! I stamped the wonderful pumpkin stamp using Party Peach and NEW Tempting Tangerine Inks to get a neat ombre effect. I love all the different sizes of leaves and extra vines included in this set!!  

I used some Totally Taupe Ink and various browns from the Krafty Kolours Inks to create a background using the Beautiful Burlap Stencil. I think it would look equally lovely using the NEW Gorgeous Gauze Stencil though! I used a diecut coffee cup and stamped the Pumpkin Spice sentiment from the Grateful Pumpkins! Stamp Set with white embossing powder and then added the leaves and vines with Fresh Fields Ink.

Challenge #543 Use A Sketch!

This week, krafty girl Karla is your hostess and her challenge theme for you is:

....Use A Sketch! - you get to choose the sketch!

Hello friends! 

 It's Karla here today with a fun challenge for you! I love starting with a sketch - I always find it takes me in different directions than I would have gone if I just sat down with my supplies. For today's card, I'm using the August Kraftin' Kimmie Sketch you can see below and I used  fun backgrounds I created with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Stencils.  

I coloured up the adorable NEW Be A Mermaid Stamps with Copic Markers and popped them up on foam dots over the background. 

You can see the Summer Sunbeams Stencil peeking out from the first layer, which I created with Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays and then embossed one of the sweet sentiments from the Be A Mermaid. (You can check out fun Sunbeam Stencil techniques in this video HERE!) Next I layered a watercoloured background that I created in this video HERE with the Nautical Netting Stencil and Distress Oxide Sprays. For the third layer I added part of a background created with the She Sells Seashells Stencil (try saying that 5 x's fast!) and Kraftin' Kimmie Inks. And for the bottom layer I took an inky background I had in colours that matched and stamped seashells from the Be A Mermaid Stamp Set with Sandy Shores Ink. I added in some pretty NEW Summer Krafty Dots and my card is finished!

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however, using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp and products will earn you double entries!

Challenge #460 - Stencils!

Welcome to another fun Krafty Challenge!

Are you ready for some krafty fun??

This week is all about....
STENCILS!

We know how much fun you've been having making creations featuring our brand new Krafty Stencils and Hybrid Inks!
So that's this week's challenge!

Hello Krafty friends! I hope that many of you have had the chance to get your fingers on our new inks and stencils...they are amazing! They have quickly become "must have" items! For my card this week, I stamped one of the snowmen from the Super Cool Pals stamp set in our Totally Taupe ink on cold-pressed cotton watercolour paper. After watercolouring the image (I actually started this project during a live colour-along video earlier this week on our Facebook page) I used our Sparkling Snowflake stencil and some white gouache to create the snowy sky. I then flicked some drops of white on the sky to add some smaller "flakes." I also added a pattern to the snowman's jacket with our Beautiful Burlap stencil and Marvelous Mocha ink. 

Every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you can enter as many times as you like!  Each submission will enter you into the monthly prize......which is a $40 gift voucher to the krafty shop!

We've also got a fun sketch for your inspiration for December!  You don't have to use it but if you need a little extra kickstart in your mojo, feel free to use it any time!
